I realized that I haven’t posted an update on the black chicks in a while. Mostly because, really, they look the same.

The pullets are just as skittish as ever. They are a bit bigger, but other than that, no real change. They won’t start laying eggs until nearly March. We’ll change their feed over to a layer ration with higher calcium in late February. There’s a lot of change at the beginning when the chicks are young, but after they get a few months old nothing changes for months. Which is surprisingly true for a great deal of farming!

Las pollitas negras

Yo realicé que no les dé noticias nuevas de las pollitas negras. En realidad es porque no hay. Se parecen iguales de antes.

Todavía, las pollas son nerviosas. Son más grande, pero más de esto, están sin cambio. No empiezan a poner hasta casi marzo. Cambiamos la ración a Ponedora Fase II con un porcentaje más alta de calcio cerca el fin de febrero. Hay mucho cambio en el inicio cuando las pollitas son muy joven, pero después de algunas meses nada cambia por meses. ¡Esto es más o menos la verdad por mucho de las actividades agrícolas!
