Despite the holidays, we are still making progress on our guest house. The table top arrived! No pictures because it’s top down on a work bench at the moment. But soon. Meanwhile, other things are happening.

We have a firepit! We build it out of the old stone fence supports we had to take out when we fixed fences this year. The stone fence posts are absolutely fabulous and last forever. But one person can’t move them which makes them impractical nowadays as there isn’t a team fixing fence.

And we have the upper shelves in for the kitchen and I am slowly finding kitchen stuff what we have and making not of what we’ll need to buy.

Progreso de la construcción

A pesar de los feriados, avanzamos con la casa de huéspedes. ¡El granito de la mesa llegó! Sin fotos porque está puesto de arriba hacia abajo en el banco de trabajo. Mientras tanto, otras cosas están ocurriendo.

¡Tenemos una hoguera! Construimos con los postes de piedra vieja del alambrado. Tuvimos sacar los postes de piedra cuando reparamos los alambrados porque los postes de piedra son demasiado pesados para manejar una persona. Son maravillosos y duran años. Pero sin una cuadrilla para alambrar no son muy prácticos.

En la cocina tenemos los estantes superiores. Y, poco a poco, estoy juntando cosas para armar la cocina y notando lo que voy a necesitar comprar.
