You might have caught my careful wording on Monday where I said our youngest lambs were in the Picual orchard. This year we had a ram which went a wandering and got about half the flock of ewes pregnant early. So we have a number of lambs which are nearing 6 months. Teenagers. And, like many teenagers, they like to go where we don’t want them to. Some of ours like to find out if the grass is tastier on the other side of the fence.

Fixing fences has moved to the top of our priority list. No early lambs next year and, hopefully, less lambs adventuring!

Puede ser que noto mi redacción cuidadosa el lunes pasado cuando escribí que nuestros corderos más jóvenes están en la plantación de Picual. Este año tuvimos un carnero que fue a pasear y visitó casi meta de las ovejas temprano. Entonces tenemos algunos corderos que están a casi 6 meses. Adolescentes. Y como muchos adolescentes, les gusta ir donde no queríamos ir. Algunos de nuestros corderos grandes les gusta descubrir si el pasto es más rico al otro lado del alambrado.

Reparación de alambrados está la prioridad primero ahora. ¡No corderos nazcan temprano el año que viene, y, espero, menos corderos paseando!
