After last week’s unfortunate tree-meets-roof incident, let me share some good news. We have a new farm sign! I looked in my files and I don’t actually have a picture of the sad state of the last sign. I painted the first farm sign nearly 10 years ago so that delivery trucks could find us. It was, as this one is, merely paint on wood and ten years of sun and rain faded the sign to nothing. The old sign was hard to read for long enough we had taken to saying we were the blue house at the end of the power poles. Then the Estancia at the end of the road got their power installed and all of sudden our lack of a legible sign was an issue. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, a bit of extra board, paint, and a larger copy of our logo, and I painted a new sign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s amazing how big of an impact such a little change makes. Anyone else found tiny changes make a huge impact on curb appeal? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Un cartel nuevo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Despu\u00e9s del desafortunado incidente de la semana pasada en el que el \u00e1rbol se encontr\u00f3 con el techo, perm\u00edtanme compartir algunas buenas noticias. \u00a1Tenemos un nuevo cartel de campo! Mir\u00e9 en mis archivos y en realidad no tengo una imagen del triste estado del \u00faltimo cartel. Pint\u00e9 el primer cartel del campo hace casi 10 a\u00f1os para que los camiones pudieran encontrarnos. Era, como lo es este, una mera pintura sobre madera, y diez a\u00f1os de sol y lluvia desvanecieron el cartel hasta reducirlo a la nada. El viejo cartel era dif\u00edcil de leer durante el tiempo suficiente como para que nos hubi\u00e9ramos acostumbrado a decir que \u00e9ramos la casa azul al final de los postes de electricidad. Luego, la Estancia al final de la carretera instal\u00f3 su energ\u00eda y, de repente, nuestra falta de un cartel legible fue un problema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entonces, un poco de tabla extra, pintura y una copia m\u00e1s grande de nuestro logotipo, y pint\u00e9 un nuevo cartel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
